From Humble Beginnings: The Birth of Hands to Hands.
Our journey started when we went to an exposition in New York City called "The Yanomami Struggle" at The Shed and we saw how hard and unfair the indigenous people are treated in the society and how they struggle to survive and keep their traditions, art, beliefs. We also concluded that they sustain their tribes through their art, selling it. Hence, along this amazing experience, we came up with the idea of helping the Brazilian artisans (including the indigenous people who are wonderful artisans as well). We decided to bring their art to USA, so through the exposition of it here, they can keep their traditions, culture and history throughout their amazing pieces. It is also a way that we found to help them to sustain their families. Everytime you buy their pieces, you are helping them to have a better life. That's how Hands to Hands was proudly born.
We would love to have you on board to help us contemplate such a great cause and also to acquire beautiful pieces for your life.
